custom Shoe Orders
How does the order process work?
You can sign up for my waitlist here to reserve your spot in line for a custom shoe order! Please note that the current wait time is 4-6 months due to high demand. Once your turn is up, I will reach out to you with a graphic explaining the next steps. After we have briefly discussed your vision, a $20 non-refundable deposit is required in order to receive your personalized shoe sketches. One round of revisions is included with this deposit, any additional revisions are $10 per round. Once you have approved the final design, the full payment is required minus the $20 sketch deposit. After payment is received the shoes will be created and shipped in 2-4 weeks.
can i return the shoes if i change my mind?
As all shoe orders are custom I cannot offer a refund once the sketch has been approved and the shoe painting process has begun. I include this detailed sketching process so that you feel clear about the final design, but please be aware that the colors or details may vary slightly from the sketch to the finished shoe in some instances due to these being handmade and handpainted items.
WHAT TYPE OF SHOES DO YOU OFFER?
I can paint fabric and leather shoes which includes sneakers, cowboy boots, cleats, running sneakers, etc. I can include the cost of the shoe you would like in your personalized price quote and will purchase the shoes for you during the creation process. If you would like me to paint an existing pair of your shoes, I will needs to see photos of the shoes to ensure that they are in good condition and able to be painted.
does the paint wear off?
The design is sealed with special materials in order to withstand rain, dirt, and other weather conditions. Just like any pair of shoes, the better you care for the shoe the better the design will look for years to come!
How long does the whole process take?
Once the final sketch is approved and payment has been received the shoe will be made and shipped in 2-4 weeks. Most orders take 5-7 days for shipping and I am not responsible for the order after it has been shipped and I have provided you with the tracking information. The time for the sketch process can vary based on how many revisions you’d like and how long the response time is between sketches. I only take a limited number of orders per month and spots fill up quickly so I recommend reaching out at least two months ahead of time to see if I have an opening and signing up for the waitlist.
can i change my design during the creation process?
Once the sketch has been approved and the painting process has begun, I cannot guarantee that major changes can be made to the design. I do my best to accommodate changes and will let you know if certain changes can be made for an additional fee.
How much do custom shoes cost?
My prices range from $350-600+ depending on the design and the type of shoe you choose, you can see my pricing structure here or contact me here if you have any other questions about pricing.
can you ship internationally?
All shoe orders shipped within the US will incur a $20 shipping fee and the shoes will be shipped through USPS. I can ship internationally, but please consider that international shipping is $65+ USD and in some cases takes over a month to arrive. Customers are responsible for the initial shipping rates as well as any customs charges and fees once the order has been shipped.
CLASSES
How much does a class cost? What’s included?
A standard shoe painting class costs $180 per person and is available for groups of 2-8 people. This class includes the instructor and the materials (specialized paint, paintbrushes, heat guns, etc.). All students must provide their own shoe, which can be any leather or canvas shoe. Please note that classes taught at Austin art studios may vary in price and duration.
How does class payment work?
For private classes- 50% of the total class payment amount must be paid at the time of booking in order to reserve the date, and the remaining 50% is to be paid by 24 hours prior to the class date. Classes cancelled up to 4 weeks before the class date will be eligible for a full refund, classes cancelled after this time are not eligible for a refund but will receive the full amount in credit towards rebooking.
Can i book a class for one person?
While standard shoe painting classes are available for groups of 2-8 people, private individual classes are available for $225 for a 2.5 hour class. Groups over 8 may be accomodated but this would need to be discussed prior to booking and rates may vary.
How long is a shoe painting class?
A standard shoe painting class is 2.5 hours long, this does not include set up and breakdown time. If this class is at your home, please note that our instructor will be arriving 20 minutes early for set up and will not begin packing up materials until the 2.5 hour class time has ended. Any students that need additional time to finish their work will receive small paint pots and one (1) paintbrush to finish the design on their own time.
What can i do to best prepare for my class?
